About

The Cairngorms National Park covers a beautiful 4,528km2. Its breath-taking scenery is dominated by mountains (4 of the 5 highest peaks in the UK at over 4,000 feet), whilst lochs, heathlands, forests and rivers home to salmon & trout fill everything in-between. The Cairngorms National Park Authority was set up in 2003 and has 4 aims:

  1. To conserve and enhance the natural and cultural heritage of the area;
  2. To promote sustainable use of the natural resources of the area;
  3. To promote understanding and enjoyment (including enjoyment in the form of recreation) of the special qualities of the area by the public;
  4. To promote sustainable economic and social development of the area’s communities.

As you drive through the tree-lined Oak canopy and enter the site you will be instantly struck with the spectacular surroundings. Dotted inside the Oak trees are a number of pitches and a tented area.

A very short walk through the trees and across the B9152 gives access to the Aviemore Kart Raceway. The village is approximately a 30 minute walk and there are various options for supermarkets along with a new retail park.

Other attractions near our Aviemore Campsite include the Strathspey Steam Railway, and Cairngorm Mountain.

Enjoy your next holiday at Oakwood Caravan & Camping Park. This magnificent area is something everyone should see, and this modern campsite is a great base from where there are an endless list of great options within very easy reach.
