Local Area

The Cairngorms National Park is a magnet for outdoor and nature enthusiasts, and it’s not hard to see why.

The area is abundant with wildlife. Deer, otters, ospreys and even golden eagles are often spotted. More than 280km of footpaths and trails criss-cross its diverse lands. There is canoeing and kayaking on Loch Morlich and Loch Insh (each approx. 5 miles) and, of course, many mountains provide a challenge across all seasons. Come winter time, take to the slopes on skis or a snowboard and experience some of the UK’s finest runs including the famous White Lady.

Enjoy your next holiday at Oakwood Caravan & Camping Park. This magnificent area is something everyone should see, and this modern campsite is a great base from where there are an endless list of great options within very easy reach.
